Environment law is multidisciplinary and interrelated with other discipline of science, economics and politics. There is an intricate relationship between human activities and the environment. We take pride in our Oil Pollution and Climate Change Litigation. We have through case law  – Centre for Oil Pollution Watch v NNPC – established that environmental rights are fundamental human rights (right to life); any party who maintains an action for public interest or to vindicate the rule of law and get unlawful conduct stopped has the locus standi to maintain the suit; maintaining the environment is, within the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the civil rights and obligations of every Nigeria citizen including institutions operating in Nigeria and visitors alike.
